Fleece Hats

This project takes 1/2 yard of fleece. If you want to combine contrasting fabrics buy 1/4 yard of each. If you're good at watching sales, or using coupons, each set can be made for less than $5.

Adorable Aprons

Sassy Skirts

Baby Blankets

This is a very quick and easy gift. Each blanket takes 1 1/4 yards of coordinating fabrics in order to make it square. Grand flannel is my first choice for the back because it is extra soft. There are lots of really cute jersey knits that make up really nice and seem to be more suited for warmer climates. Easily under $10/blanket.

Perfect Pajama Pants

Christmas is the perfect time for new pajamas. This is a great opportunity to turn your creativity loose....matching flannel pajama pants for you and your friends or fleece pants for staying warm after playing in the snow. I have even seen flannel backed silk fabric for a more elegant touch. Alyssa made the pair that Rick is wearing in two days! Not bad for someone who doesn't think she likes to sew. The only caution to this project is make sure you buy enough fabric....especially for adults and teenagers. Kids pants take about 2 yards and adults need 3 depending on the width of the fabric. Flannel always goes on sale the day after Thanksgiving. Save your coupons for fleece. The yardage can add up in a hurry and take the fun out of it.
