Glad you found me :) I am very excited to share my talents with you. My name is Nancy McGuire and I would love to teach you or your daughter how to sew. I learned how to sew from my mother and have many, many fun memories of her and I staying up late finishing a Christmas present or designing a new dress for an upcoming dance. There is something very satisfying about being able to say "I made that." Sewing is a great way to show your creativity and save a ton of money in the process.
I can teach you how to read a pattern, construct clothing, topstitch, make a buttonhole, put in a zipper. ...pretty much anything you want to know. I can also show you some simple tricks to alter ready- made clothes to make them fit better or make them more modest.
Following is a list of beginning projects to get your imagination going. Each month will highlight one of these and could easily be finished during the two class periods. Classes are every other Friday afternoon for two hours and are limited to four people. If you have your own machine you can bring, your chances of having a spot in the class are pretty much guaranteed. Also, if you just need supervision on a project you've already got going bring it and let me help. See you soon!
